On A Diet? Try a Plastic/Paper One

Phyllis Theermann

paper plastic dietEllen Korpi, Chair of Wellesley’s, Sustainable Energy Committee, showed off a Plastic/Paper Diet kit at a recent Wellesley Green Collaborative meeting.

Moving away from the daily habits of paper and plastic — which continue to take over our landfills — takes work, much like a diet.

Here are a few items she collected that folks can use to reduce their usage.

Cloth napkins and microfiber cloths for cleaning (or old t-shirts) are great, but she took it a few steps further with reusable produce bags and compostable dog waste bags. Thanks for sharing some great ideas Ellen! Share some of your ideas with us too. Simply email info@SustainableWellesley.com.
