Looking for a Dynamic Speaker for one of your PTO Meetings?

Quentin climate-reality-project
Sustainable Wellesley will be touring a variety of non-profit organizations in Wellesley this Fall and Winter with an engaging discussion about climate change, Wellesley’s Town goal of reducing energy usage 10% by 2013, and actions families and businesses can take to save money and energy.
The goal of this speaking series is to educate and stimulate your audience and leave them ‘treading a bit lighter’ in Wellesley and beyond.
For example, Wellesley resident and Wellesley public school parent – Quentin Prideaux  – who has been specially trained by Al Gore and The Climate Reality Project – will be sharing an interactive presentation that clarifies the facts, impacts and solvability of climate change.

Discussion items include:

-Energy efficiency, conservation and fuel savings tips. This includes efficiency in existing homes, new housing, and residential appliances as well as transportation

-“Green” lifestyles and consumer choices. Ways for Wellesley residents to be sustainable in regards to diet and consumer purchasing decisions too.

-How Green is Wellesley? new high school, EPA Green Powered Community status, etc.

-Climate change and what that means for Wellesley and the world: i.e. climate research, strategies and technologies for reducing greenhouse gas emissions, the impacts of global warming and extreme weather on us.
