 Committee Vacancies
Want to become involved in Town of Wellesley government? Consider volunteering for a Town board or committee. The Design Review Board (DRB) and the Climate Action Committee (CAC) have current vacancies. Design Review Board Assist the Planning Board with reviewing signage, major and minor construction projects, projects triggering Large House Review, and more. There are three openings on the Design Review Board - one regular member position, and two alternate member positions. Candidates for the regular member position must be recommended by one or more Town associations representing Wellesley retail business owners. Candidates for the alternate member positions must fulfill at least one (1) of the below criteria:

Climate Action Committee Help support the Climate Action Committee's mission to reduce town-wide greenhouse gas emissions to net zero by 2050. The CAC has an opening for a new member to be appointed for a three-year term beginning July 1, 2024. Preferred candidates will have some of the following qualifications:

If you are interested in getting more people who care about environmental issues out to the polls on election day, connect with the Environmental Voter Project (EVP). This nonprofit nonpartisan organization focuses on locating environmentalists that are not voting and turning them into consistent voters. A reminder that the last day to register to vote in the MA General Election is Saturday, October 29, 2022. To be eligible to register or preregister to vote, you must:
YOU CAN VOTE BY MAIL! Vote by Mail applications will be mailed in July and September to every voter who hasn’t already requested a mail-in ballot for the fall elections. Vote by Mail applications can also be downloaded from the Secretary of State website. Completed ballots must be received at Town Hall by 8 PM on election day.  Wellesley is finalizing its Sustainable Mobility Plan, which will expand access for all to key areas in our community and help reduce greenhouse gas emissions (GHG).
Electric vehicles (EVs) are one of the top strategies for reducing greenhouse gas emissions in Massachusetts. Share your thoughts on EVs by taking a brief survey. Your responses are confidential and will help the Town develop priorities for sustainable mobility in our community. The survey is open until Tuesday, December 14, 2021.
