 You are invited to Natick's Earth Day festivities April 27-28th.
There will be events all over town created by residents, families, community groups, and local organizations offering opportunities for all to get outside, interact, learn, and do something good for the Earth, its living things, and each other. On Saturday 9am-1pm bring family and friends to the Earth-Friendly Fair on the Natick Town Common for lots of informational booths and family-friendly activities. Also, make note that a Repair Cafe (the fix is free!) will be held at Natick Community Center, Saturday 2:30-5:30pm.  This weekend enjoy Earth Day celebrations starting Friday from 3-4:30 pm on Wellesley Town Hall grounds where Wellesley's Fridays for Future will host its 168th consecutive weekly climate demonstration. Enjoy some refreshments, a speaker or two, and most importantly, a group of dedicated climate demonstrators of all ages being their usual fun selves, so come by and bring a sign or use one of theirs. The Town Hall parking lot will be closed, but there's plenty of parking nearby including (usually) right in front of the Town Hall and across the street in the Town lot.
Weston at Land's Sake on Saturday Check out the EARTH DAY & BIRTHDAY CELEBRATIONS at Land's Sake on April 22nd from 10am-2pm at 90 Wellesley St, in Weston. This free event is open to the public and is a great event for environment lovers of all ages. No registration is required. Enjoy the various ‘education stations’ set up all over the farm, Learn about how Land’s Sake Farm works to inspire stewardship & sustainability.
Newton on Sunday Sunday, April 23 from 12-4pm head over to Newton City Hall (1000 Commonwealth Ave., Newton) for Green Newton's Earth Day Festival. Fun activities for the whole family, include:
In the event of rain, the festival will take place inside the War Memorial Auditorium at City Hall. Newton’s Earth Day Festival is hosted by Green Newton, the City’s Climate Team, and Newton’s EV Task Force. Natick - Note next weekend on April 29th from 9am-1pm at 1 Common Street, Natick Town Common. Bring your own bags as this is the final indoor Farmers Market of the Spring. Over 20 groups will be there to educate and interact on a variety of green topics (see below). One of the many events scheduled throughout the weekend will be a visit to a home with geothermal hvac. The system was installed in 2017, where Wellesley College associate professor of Environmental Studies can talk about how it was done and how it is working out for he and his family.
