No Cost Energy Audits From Mass Save

10/19/2020

Picture
Bring "in" an expert and do a home energy audit. Experts identify energy-saving opportunities in your home and then produce a customized energy report. They also include information on equipment rebates and no-cost products, as well as access to 0% financing and 75% off approved insulation.

You can expect the following with current energy audits:

Instant Savings Measures:
  • Replacement of all eligible lightbulbs with LED bulbs
  • Installation of water-saving shower heads & faucet aerators
  • Replacement of older style thermostats with digital programmable thermostats
  • Up to 2 smart power strips & instructions on how to use them

Safety Checks:
  • Inspection of heating & cooling equipment CO2 levels to ensure they are running safely
  • Inspection for home hazards that present a roadblock to installing insulation, such as knob & tube wiring, mold and asbestos/vermiculite
  • Inspection for areas of your home that may be lacking insulation, such as basement, exterior walls, overhangs, attic, knee walls, crawlspaces and garage ceilings

A home energy specialist will make recommendations for insulation and/or air sealing measures in an effort to get your home running efficiently.

Plus, they will share the many Mass Save programs and benefits going on now, such as the 0% interest HEAT Loan, appliance rebates, and more!

This Mass Save program has been around, but due to COVID-19 the state is offering the no/low cost insulation to eligible single family homes. Plus, the virtual assessments are more flexible.  Sustainable Wellesley will also receive a small donation from HomeWorks for every energy assessment generated from this link so please sign up here.

p.s. Mass Save allows assessments once every three years.
