Show up at 1 or 2 upcoming legislative hearings at the State House to support a high priority bill: the Future of Clean Heat (H.3203/ S. 2105). This bill aims to create an orderly and equitable transition to clean energy for heating and cooling our homes and all buildings. The hearings are on:
Wednesday, July 12, 1 pm: Senate Hearing RSVP here for Senate Hearing
Thursday, July 13, 10 am: House Hearing RSVP here for House Hearing
A Sustainable Wellesley non profit parter (which not just for mom's) called Mother's Out Front is organizing to fill the room for this bill. BTW, this bill is sponsored by our own Senator Creem.
If you want everyone to enjoy a healthy, livable world, that includes transitioning to clean heat for homes, schools, and other buildings, be part of making that a reality by registering to show up at these hearings.
Visible strong support at the hearings will build momentum in both branches. The goal is to have so many people to sign up that they have to move the hearings from their scheduled small rooms to the Gardner Auditorium to accommodate many supporters. When you RSVP you will get updates from Mother's Out Front about ways you can participate and detailed information about the schedule. (These hearings will also include other bills clean energy advocates support. You can learn more about the agendas here: Senate Hearing and House Hearing.)
Here is a fact sheet about Ten Reasons to Love the Future of Clean Heat Legislation.
Please bring friends and family to attend the hearing with you.
