Remember our optimistic advocacy phone call with Senator Creem last month? Well, unfortunately the state climate bill has seemingly stalled out in the conference committee due to disagreements between the House and the Senate. This is really concerning because the legislative cycle normally takes two years. Basically, if it dies in committee by the end of the year, they have to start all over.
Thus, we need YOU TO MAKE A CALL to your representative as well as Senator Creem, to let them know how urgent this is. We’re hoping that pressure from peer members of the Statehouse will get the conference committee moving.

Let them know that you are one of their constituents from Wellesley, and then use your own words to let them know that you really need them to help pass the next Generation Climate Bill (S.2500) this session. Throw in a sentence or two about why their help on getting climate legislation passed this session matters to you.
We know they are all hard at work on pressing matters such as Covid response, the economy, schools, and police reform, but they need to hear that CLIMATE is related to all of this and it's a PRIORITY.
