Save $$$ and pollution by reducing electricity usage
Here's a polite reminder to help shave the peak today from 5pm-9pm. If you set an alarm on your phone now you can't forget to do it.
You can even *pre-cool* your house, but at 5pm please put the thermostat 4 degrees higher than normal, or turn off the AC altogether.
Please also avoid running laundry, using dehumidifiers, charging your car, or doing other things that use a lot of electrical power in those hours. You can read more about how this saves Wellesley $$$ and saves the planet from pollution and climate gasses in our earlier post here.
The chart below shows how this REALLY DOES WORK. It is a little technical, but you can see with a glance how Wellesley successfully shaved the peak two times last summer thanks to you.
